HOW DO I SHOP HERE?
Avant, Inc. employs a secure and easy-to-use Shopping Cart system to allow you to select products from our website and order them online, either via credit card or by mailing in payment. Use the toolbar navigation on the left of the page or the search function at the top in order to locate products you wish to purchase. After selecting the particular item you want to purchase, enter the quantity in the appropriate entry box (labelled "Qty") and click the "Add to Cart" button below the order form. This will add that item (or items) with that quantity to your shopping cart. You will have an option to check out and enter your payment information or return to shopping, adding additional products to your shopping cart.
Some order forms on the Avant, Inc. website include option menus for different pricing/quantity options or for product features, such as color. Remember: the number you enter in the Qty (quantity) field represents that number of items as defined by the remaining options for that product. For example, if you are ordering some Large Laminating Sheets, you'll find that the pricing is not per-sheet, but per-box, in sizes of 50, 100, 500 or 1000 sheets. So a quantity of 3 with the option of Per Box (100) will order 3 boxes of 100 sheets each.
If you have questions about how any of the order forms work, feel free to contact us by phone or email. You can also try to order some products and see how they are listed and priced in your shopping cart. Don't worry... you can always remove them from your cart later.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO YOU ALLOW?
 
Our shopping cart system supports Credit Card transactions via Visa or MasterCard as well as allowing you to mail or fax your payment to us (fax payments only apply to customers who have established a credit account. Call us for more information!)
NOTE: if you elect to pay via credit card, your card will not be charged until the merchandise has been shipped.
If you need to pay by some other means, contact us and we will work with you to arrange payment.

WHAT SHIPPING OPTIONS DO YOU PROVIDE?

number of days that UPS will take to
deliver your package by ground. We ship
from the RED AREA (Massachusetts).
We use the Shipping Rate Chart shown below to automatically
calculate Shipping Charges. It is based on the total value of the
order. Orders of $250 or more ship freight free if you
select UPS ground.

guarantees the day of delivery for every ground package you ship
to any commercial address in the 48 contiguous states (see Terms
and Conditions for details). Service Map colors may vary due
to differences in hardware and software. For the scheduled days
in transit for ground packages shipped within the 48 contiguous

WHAT TERMS & CONDITIONS
APPLY?
Terms & Conditions
N-30 terms are available to all customers who meet our credit requirements
- Call us for a credit application. A signed "Payment Policy"
sheet is required for all accounts set up with terms. All orders
not placed on terms will be charged to MasterCard or Visa.
Returns
All returns must have an assigned "RMA" number obtained
by calling Avant BEFORE returning any merchandise. Any item returned
without an RMA will be refused and returned to the sender.
All returns that are not Avant's mistakes or defective,
are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Once your return is received, and is in NEW CONDITION, we will issue a credit for 80% of the item returned only. Original outgoing freight, and the restocking fee, will not be credited.
No returns will be accepted after 45 days of the original invoice
date.
Repairs do not require RMA's.
Custom items and punch jobs are non-returnable and non-refundable.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
The Avant, Inc. website is relatively new, even though the company
has been in business since 1963. The site may have links that don't
work right or some problem with an order form, even though they
have been thoroughly checked by our Internet technicians. If you
find that something is not working right or is working contrary
to what you would expect, please let us know! If you need need any
assistance, we would be happy to help. If it turns out that something
is incorrect or broken on the website, we would certainly like to
know about it so we can correct it as soon as possible.

CREDIT CARD ONLINE. IS IT SAFE?
Providing
a Credit Card online is a common concern or hesitation for many
Internet shoppers. You should be aware that every effort has been
made to keep your confidential information secure throughout the
shopping experience. Avant, Inc. employs a full 128 bit encrypted
connection using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology from Thawte
- a leading provider of website security.
Your credit card information and personal information (address,
phone, email, etc.) are transmitted to Avant, Inc. in total security.
At no point during the entire process of shopping, check out, receipt
of order and shipping of order will your confidential information
transmitted insecurely or shared in any way.
Here is a brief description of the security features employed by
Avant's shopping cart system:

- Uses 128 bit SSL to encrypt your data over the Internet.
- Once you place an order, the order is then encrypted so
that only authorized Avant, Inc. personnel can view the order
to process it.
- No customer information is sent via e-mail. All sensitive
order information is retrieved via a secure connection, and only
by authorized Avant, Inc. personnel.
- Your credit card number is checked to make sure it is
a valid credit card number (NOTE: This does NOT guarantee
the credit card is good, it only validates the credit card number).
