FYI: Remember, when printing with these cards, you must alter your printer so it does NOT cover the foil with overlaminate or it will be dulled. You must tell your printer to NOT lay down the overlaminate on the corner that holds the foil. PVC card printers allow you to do this under the printer's properties... there's usually a tab for holograms... and within that area you select the correct drawing that shows no overlay in the foil-stamped corner.

Holographic overlays and ribbons are great, but that expensive image is laid on top of your card, and within a very short time, the image is dirty and/or scratched so it does not have that highly retro-reflective, visible image you paid for.

These cards are different because the holographic image is EMBEDDED in the card, so you print your ID over it! These images remain as bright and visible as the day they were printed! Why are you paying for an image that scratches off and makes your card look old and dirty???

PRINTABLE TRANSPARENT / TRANSLUCENT PVC CARDS

In the past, some desktop card printers were unable to print on clear or transparent card stock. Avant specialized transparent cards formulation allows for single sided printing on almost any desktop card printer, including Eltron/Zebra's!. Whether you are printing an ID card, membership card, business card, or loyalty card, Avant, Inc. has the solution!

Specs: These cards are model CR80, 30 mil PVC

Notes:

• These PVC cards are for single-sided card printing applications only.

PVC CARDS

PVC Cards provide high image quality, medium flexibility and temperature durability. They are recommended for all applications requiring edge-to-edge printing. They are available with or without a magnetic stripe LowCo or HighCo. The estimated life for Premier cards is 24 months with 3,000 duty cycles. Applications for PVC cards are cards with moderate usage and controlled environments such as transit passes, visitor badges, identification cards, and loyalty cards. Composite PVC ("Tuff Cards") Cards provide high image quality, high flexibility and temperature durability. They are available with or without a magnetic stripe LowCo or HighCo.

The estimated life for composite cards is 48 months to 84 months, depending upon actual card design and usage. "Tuff Cards" PVC / P.E.T cards are stronger because they are made up of a polyester core and sandwiched with PVC (80% PVC and 20% polyester core). These cards are used in application environments that are uncontrolled and require high usage such as time and attendance, access, control, equipment check-out, and multi-application university ID cards. "Tuff Cards" are recommended for use with the P500 Card Printer when laminating both sides of the card or when producing true ISO flat cards is necessary.

FARGO ULTRACARD & ULTRACARD III PVC CARDS

Both UltraCard and UltraCard III cards provide glossy, scratch and debris resistant, high-quality laminated surfaces. Fargo's UltraCards can be ordered with either a high-coercivity or a low-coercivity magnetic stripe. Fargo recommends using only UltraCard brand cards in their printers. UltraCards come boxed per 500 (unless otherwise noted) containing 5 plastic wrapped packages of 100 cards.
